USA Vs. Scotland 2012 International Friendly: Rosters Announced

With a set of friendlies and World Cup qualifier games coming up. United States Men's National Team head coach Juergen Klinsmann announced the 23-man roster that will play in these games starting with Saturday's friendly against Scotland. Washington Post Soccer Insider Steven Goff published the US Roster to the Post's soccer blog.

GOALKEEPERS: Brad Guzan (Aston Villa), Tim Howard (Everton), Nick Rimando (Real Salt Lake).

DEFENDERS: Carlos Bocanegra (Rangers), Geoff Cameron (Houston Dynamo), Edgar Castillo (Tijuana), Steve Cherundolo (Hanover), Clarence Goodson (Brondby), Oguchi Onyewu (Sporting Lisbon), Michael Parkhurst (Nordsjaelland).

MIDFIELDERS: Kyle Beckerman (Real Salt Lake), Michael Bradley (Chievo), Joe Corona (Tijuana), Maurice Edu (Rangers), Fabian Johnson (Hoffenheim), Jermaine Jones (Schalke), Jose Torres (Pachuca).

FORWARDS: Jozy Altidore (AZ Alkmaar), Terrence Boyd (Borussia Dortmund), Clint Dempsey (Fulham), Landon Donovan (Los Angeles Galaxy), Herculez Gomez (Santos Laguna), Chris Wondolowski (San Jose Earthquakes).

Both Jozy Altidore and Clint Dempsey were announced to be out for Saturday's friendly against Scotland, but both players should be available for the game against Brazil.

Scotland coach Craig Levein named 22 players to their roster for the game against the US Team. The roster was also published by Goff on the Post's website.

GOALKEEPERS: Matt Gilks (Blackpool, 0 caps), Craig Gordon (Sunderland, 40), Alan McGregor (Rangers, 20).

DEFENDERS: Phil Bardsley (Sunderland, 11 caps), Christophe Berra (Wolves, 19), Gary Caldwell (Wigan, 47), Russell Martin (Norwich, 2), Charlie Mulgrew (Celtic, 1), Lee Wallace (Rangers, 5), Steven Whittaker (Rangers, 14).

MIDFIELDERS: Barry Bannan (Aston Villa, 10 caps), Scott Brown (Celtic, 27), Craig Bryson (Derby, 1), Don Cowie (Cardiff City, 9), James McArthur (Wigan, 6), Shaun Maloney (Wigan, 19), Matt Phillips (Blackpool, 0).

FORWARDS: David Goodwillie (Blackburn, 3 caps), Craig Mackail-Smith (Brighton, 6), Kenny Miller (Cardiff City, 59), Johnny Wilson (Dundee United, 0).

The game is scheduled to be played at 8 p.m. at EverBank Field in Jacksonville, Fla. The game will be broadcast live on NBC Sports Network.
