2012 Indy 500 Live: Race Still Up For Grabs At Halfway Point

The 2012 Indianapolis 500 has reached its midway point, and there is still not a clear frontrunner in the race. Marco Andretti has been the lead racer for most of the afternoon, but currently sits in 11th after hitting the pits during a caution.

After a slow start, Ryan Hunter-Reay has fought all the way back to his starting position of third place after falling back to as far as 14th.

The first big crash of the day came when Mike Conway crashed into Will Power on Lap 82. In the aftermath, one of the tires from a car involved was let loose on the track, and nearly took out Helio Castroneves.
