The Miami Marlins are currently three games behind the Washington Nationals in the NL East standings and they'll get a chance to close that gap as they face off against the Nats for a three-game home stand beginning Monday, May 28th.

The Marlins are coming off a four game series against the San Francisco Giant in which they split, two games apiece while the Nats took on the Atlanta Braves over the weekend.

Miami will be looking to close out the month of May in strong fashion, similar to the way they started the month, winning seven consecutive games. But the Nationals will prove to be a formidable foe as they are one of the best teams in baseball at the moment.

This will be the second series that Miami and Washington have played this season.
