College World Series Field To Be Finalized Today

With the Florida Gators and the Florida State Seminoles among the five teams already in the field for the 2012 College World Series, the college baseball world awaits to see who will join them in Omaha, Nebraska.

Today's slate of games start at 4:00 PM in Eugene, Oregon, as the 5th seeded Oregon Ducks and Kent State Golden Flashes compete in a winner take all Game 3. Each team won each game by one run each, with Kent State winning Game 1 7-6 and Oregon winning Game 2 3-2.

In Columbia, South Carolina, South Carolina leads the Oklahoma Sooners 1-0 in their three game set, with first pitch slated for 4:05 PM. The Gamecocks won the opener 5-0 thanks to Michael Roth and Tyler Webb's six-hit shutout. If the Sooners are able to force Game 3 today, first pitch is tentatively slated for 7:05 PM.

The nightcap is Waco, Texas, where Baylor and Arkansas are tied at a game a piece. The Bears won Game 1 8-1, while the Razorbacks scored two runs in the bottom of the 9th to win 5-4 and force today's Game 3. Today's game is slated to start at 7:05 PM.
