In a shocking development at The Olympic Club, 17-year-old amateur Beau Hossler has taken the lead at the 2012 U.S. Open. The braces-wearing teen has shot a score of one-under par through 13 holes on his round and as of press holds a one stroke lead over Jim Furyk, who completed his round earlier in the day.
Tiger Woods was not able to capitalize on his hot Thursday as he has stumbled out of the gate on Friday. He has recovered nicely, shooting a score of one over through 11 holes.
Despite entering the day at four-under par, Michael Thompson has fallen apart, putting up a score of six-over through 12 holes.
