2012 U.S. Open Leaderboard Update: Casey Wittenberg With The Best Score Of The Open

After two days of struggle playing the The Olympic course at the 2012 U.S. Open, Memphis, TN native Casey Wittenberg may have figured things out. Wittenberg shot a 71 in round one and 77 in round two, but rebounded nicely on Saturday in round three with a 67 to finish the day at -3 under par.

Wittenberg bogeyed just two holes on the day while making birdie on three holes and scoring an eagle on the par four seventh hole.

So far in the tournament Wittenberg connected on 30 of 54 greens in regulation and has connected on 23 of 42 fairways. Of the golfers who've made the cut, Wittenberg has thus far shown the biggest improvement, scoring wise.
