Marlins Vs. Phillies: Miami Looks To Defeat Cole Hamels For Second Time This Season

The Miami Marlins (29-23) send Ricky Nolasco to the mound on Saturday, hoping to slow down Cole Hamels and the streaking Philadelphia Phillies (28-25). Friday night's 6-4 defeat of the Marlins was Philadelphia's eight win in the past 10 games.

Nolasco (5-3, 4.26 ERA) has enjoyed great success in Philadelphia in his career, going 5-1 with a 2.61 ERA in six career starts in the City of Brotherly Love. In his last appearance in April of 2010 Nolasco pitched a five-hitter in a 5-1 victory over the Phillies.

Philadelphia ace Cole Hamels (8-1, 2.43 ERA) will take the mound on Saturday opposite Nolasco. Hamels only loss of the season came in his first start of the year, against these very same Marlins. Hamels allowed four earned runs and eight hits in 5 1/3 innings in a 6-2 loss to Miami on April 9.
