NCAA Baseball Tournament 2012, Coral Gables Regional: Stony Brook Dispatches UCF, 12-5

The UCF Knights fell hard to the Stony Brook Sea Wolves in the Coral Gables Regional by a final score of 12-5.

For UCF, Darnell Sweeney, Alex Friedrich, D.J. Hicks and Travis Shreve each contributed an RBI for the Knights, but it wouldn't be enough to withstand the hot bats of Stony Brook. Pitcher Bryan Brown didn't fare any better as he got the start and in his three and two thirds innings of work, gave up six hits and four earned runs.

On the Stony Brook side, Maxx Tissenbaum and Tanner Nivins each had two RBI's while Pat Cantwell, William Carmona, Kevin Krause, Sal Intagliata and Kevin Courtney each contributed an RBI apiece.

Jasvir Rakkar was the winning pitcher as he went six full innings and gave up seven hits, four earned runs and striking out six batters. Joshua Mason was credited with the save for the Sea Wolves.
