Marlins Vs. Braves Recap: Miami Loses 8-2 As Atlanta Completes Sweep

The Miami Marlins dropped their third game in a row to the Atlanta Braves, losing an 8-2 decision in Miami and falling behind Atlanta in the standings. The Braves are now 32-25 on the year, while the Marlins are a game behind -- in fourth place in the National League East -- at 31-26.

The Marlins trailed by two runs heading into the ninth, but a solo homer from Jason Heyward followed by a three-run shot from Michael Bourn sealed the result. Atlanta hit four home runs on the day. Mike Minor, who had the worst ERA in the majors coming into this game, only gave up one earned run in five innings of work for Atlanta.

Mark Buehrle went six innings, giving up only three hits and two earned runs. Giancarlo Stanton and Jose Reyes both homered for Miami.
