2012 Belmont Stakes Odds: Dullahan New Favorite After Sudden Retirement Of I'll Have Another

The 2012 Belmont Stakes experienced quite a bit of pre-race drama on Friday, when it was announced that 2012 Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes winner I'll Have Another had injured his tendon, and would be retiring. I'll Have Another was looking to become the first horse in 34 years to capture the Triple Crown.

With I'll Have Another's departure from the race, a new favorite has emerged: Dullahan at 9/5 odds. Union Rags is now listed at 3/1, with Paynter coming in at 7/2. Even before the injury to I'll Have Another, many believed Bob Baffert's horse Paynter was fully capable of the win at the Belmont.
