Marlins Vs. Rays: Tampa Bay Too Much For Miami In 13-4 Win

The Miami Marlins (31-28) trailed early. In fact, they trailed by seven runs after the first three innings. Faced with a near-insurmountable deficit, they never recovered and fell at home to the Tampa Bay Rays (34-25) in Interleague play on Saturday night.

Matt Moore took the hill for the Rays and got off to a quick start, tossing five scoreless innings, before eventually giving up four earned runs in the sixth. Moore earned the win, while the offense tallied 14 hits and 13 runs -- capped off by two home runs and four RBIs from second baseman Ben Zobrist. Jose Molina and Elliot Johnson also drove in three runs, each.

The series finale is slated for tomorrow at Marlins Park at 1:10 p.m. EST.
