Rays Vs. Red Sox: Tampa Bay Preserves Win, 5-3

After stumbling in the first game of the weekend set, the Tampa Bay Rays bounced back on Saturday night for a 5-3 win over the Boston Red Sox at Tropicana Field. Credit David Price, who was on the mound for Tampa Bay, lasting seven and one-third innings, surrendering just two earned runs and striking out eight.

Offensively, the Rays added three runs over the seventh and eighth innings, including a homer from B.J. Upton to give Price the win, as well. Closer Fernando Rodney would come on for the ninth, to notch the save, his 26th of the season.

The series finale is scheduled for Sunday at 1:40 p.m. EST.
