Last week, U.S. Open Champion Webb Simpson withdrew from the British Open. Now anther golfer is. Robert Karlsson of Sweden announced on Wednesday that he is pulling out of the Open Championships because he did not feel adequately prepared. He did not cite any injury issues, just concerns regarding perforance. He tweeting the followig earlier in the day:
Just pulled out of the British open. Have got into some bad habits in my game and routine that I need to address. taking a few weeks off.

Because the field was already one over the limit of 156, he will not be replaced. Most recently, Karlsson shot a 2-over-par at Nordea Masters over four rounds over the weekend of June 9.
