2012 British Open Leaderboard: Brandt Snedeker Earns Big Lead After Two Rounds

While many golfers are still playing in their second rounds at the British Open, it seems unlikely that any golfer will immediately make up the ground that Brandt Snedeker has put between himself and the rest of the field. His 66 was enough to put him in a tie for fourth on Thursday and a 64, tied for the best in the tournament so far, on Friday, has sent Snedeker to 10 strokes under par.

Among the golfers within striking distance is Tiger Woods who is in a tie for third at four under par after finishing with a birdie on the fourth hole for the second consecutive day.

One golfer who is not within striking distance of anyone, though, is Phil Mickelson. After finishing three strokes over par on Thursday, Mickelson managed to do much worse on Friday, finishing eight strokes over par. The 11 strokes over par was enough to earn him a tie for the 146th spot in the 156 player tournament.
