Rays Vs. Mariners Preview: Tampa Goes For Three In A Row

The Tampa Bay Rays squeezed out a close, 4-3 victory on Friday night against the Seattle Mariners at Tropicana Field. It was the Rays second consecutive victory after defeating the Cleveland Indians on Thursday night, 6-0.

Tampa is looking to continue rolling against Seattle on Saturday night in the second of their three-game set in Central Florida.

Rays manager Joe Maddon will send pitcher Alex Cobb to the mound. The 2012 campaign has been a rough one for the young right-hander as he's gone 2-6 on the year with a 5.59 ERA in his last eight starts and didn't get past the fourth inning in his last appearance on the mound after walking five batters.
