For the first time since his victory at the 2009 Wimbledon Championships, Roger Federer is headed to the final following a victory over No. 1 ranked Novak Djokovic in four sets on Friday.
After winning 6-3 in the first set, Federer lost the second set to Djokovic 6-3. However, Federer controlled the rest of the match winning the following sets 6-4 and 6-3 to earn an emphatic four set victory over the tournament's top-seeded player. Prior to the defeat, Djokovic had won four consecutive Grand Slam events, including the 2011 Wimbledon Championships.
With the win Federer will advance to the final where he'll play the winner of Friday's match between Andy Murray and Jo-Wilfred Tsonga.
