Marlins Vs. Cardinals Final Score: Miami Wins 3-2 In St. Louis

Jose Reyes' infield RBI single was the go-ahead run for the Miami Marlins on Friday night, as they defeated the St. Louis Cardinals in their series opener, 3-2. This is the Marlins' third win in a row and only the second time they've beaten the Red Birds in the 10 meetings between the two teams.

Logan Morrison gave Miami a little more cushion with his 11th home run of the season in the eighth inning. Rafael Furcal plated a run for the Cardinals in the ninth inning, but it wasn't quite enough to mount a comeback against the Marlins.

Ricky Nolasco gave up nine hits to the Red Birds, but only one run (unearned) to get his eighth win of the season.
