The Miami Marlins are welcoming home an old teammate on Friday. Hanley Ramirez, who was in the middle of his seventh season with the Marlins before being traded, plays his first game at Marlins Park not in a Marlins uniform. The Los Angeles Dodgers come to Marlins Park for the first of a three game series and there is no indication what kind of reception he'll receive from Marlins fans.
The Marlins will send pitcher Mark Buehrle (9-10, 3.70 ERA) to the mound to start. In his last start against the Washington Nationals on August 4, Buehrle went six innings allowing four runs on seven hits and allowed two home runs in that game.
The Dodgers will send Clayton Kershaw (9-6, 2.88) to the hill opposing Buehrle. In his last start against the Chicago Cubs on August 4, Kershaw pitched seven innings, allowing one run on three hits in the win.
Friday's game will be televised by Fox Sports Florida with radio coverage provided by WAXY 790 AM and WAQI 710 AM. First pitch of the game is scheduled for 7:10 p.m.
