David Garrard Injury: Dolphins QB Needs Knee Surgery, According To Report

Those hoping to get their first look at new Miami Dolphins quarterback David Garrard Friday night against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers may be in for a wait, as according to Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times, the quarterback is in need of knee surgery.

This is a big blow to the team, as early indications from training camp were that Garrard was in line to be the Dolphins' starter at the beginning of the year. In his place, expect to see Matt Moore, Ryan Tannehill and Pat Devlin will be seeing more reps in his place.

There is no timetable for Garrards return, but he will be sidelined for the foreseeable future according to Jensen.
