David Garrard Injury: Dolphins QB To Miss 2-4 Weeks, According To Report

After news broke Friday afternoon that David Garrard had surgery on his knee, the question became how did he become hurt and how long will he be out?

Jay Glazer of Fox Sports had the answers, as he recently talked with Garrard about the injury. Garrard will be out for 2-4 weeks with the knee injury, so his preseason is over.

As for why the surgery happened, Garrard had this to say:

"Nothing happened, just Father Time, wear and tear. They have to take out loose things floating around."

With Garrard done for the preseason, this is a good opportunity for Matt Moore and rookie Ryan Tannehill to benefit from extra reps, since Garrard was on the fast track to be the starter come Week 1.
