Starting the second half for the Jaguars was quarterback Jordan Palmer and had no problem leading the Jaguars on a 13 play, 85 yard scoring drive capped by Montell Owens running clear over a Giants defensive back to cut the New York lead to just three.
The momentum continued for the Jaguars when D'Anthony Smith recorded a sack for the Jaguars on the first play of the second half for the Giants offense. Smith has missed each of his first two seasons in the NFL due to injury. The sack led to a three-and-out for the Giants.
Palmer finished the quarter with six completions on eight attempts for 86 yards passing. The Jaguars will begin the fourth quarter with the ball deep in their own territory.
