Dolphins rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill had a somewhat shaky start, but he settled in during Miami's final drive before the half. That momentum carried over to the second half, as Tannehill fired his first touchdown of the preseason, connecting with Charles Clay for an 11-yard score. While it's still the third-team defense, it's encouraging to see Tannehill working out of the shotgun and hitting his targets. He played five series and is currently 14 of 21 for 167 yards with his night is likely over as Pat Devlin warmed up on the sidelines.
The Bucs, on the other hand, are now playing with Brett Ratliff under center. Ratliff is a journeyman backup who has had little success in the NFL. He's just five of nine for 41 yards, a steep drop off after backup Dan Orlovsky surprisingly lit it up with a perfect eight for eight night.
