Giants Vs. Jaguars Final: Late Comeback Gives Jaguars 32-31 Victory

While the story of the game will be predicated around the performance of Blaine Gabbert on his first drive as well as the sack/fumble that ended his third, a late game comeback was also notable as the Jaguars stormed back with an 18-7 second half score to earn a 32-31 victory.

With 21 points off Jacksonville turnovers, including a muffed punt by rookie Mike Brown in the fourth quarter, the Giants were able to combat some turnovers of their own to build a big lead, but the Jaguars hacked away at it in the second half on the back of third string quarterback Jordan Palmer.

Palmer finished the game as the Jaguars leading passer with 110 passing yards and a two point conversion to Matt Veldman, while Mike Thomas led the team in receiving yards with 89. Terrance Knighton, Aaron Morgan and D'Anthony Smith each recorded sacks for the Jaguars to slow a Giants offense that scored on four consecutive possessions early in the game.
