Miami Dolphins wide receiver Chad Johnson finally got to see a judge following his domestic violence arrest over the weekend. Johnson appeared in court on Sunday morning for a bond hearing. His bond was set at $2,500. He is expected to make his bond and be released on Sunday, according to the Miami Herald.
On top of his bond, Johnson is not allowed to have contact with his wife, Evelyn Lozada, who he is accused of head butting after the two argued over a receipt for a box of condoms discovered in his car. The restraining order is standard procedure in a domestic violence case, says Johnson's attorney.
Johnson and Lozada have been married for just over a month.
