And across the mighty pennisula, the embattled Jacksonville Jaguars chuckle: there's a Florida football team in danger of a blackout before the NFL season even begins, but it's the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and not the woeful Jags:
Bucs have until 7:30 p.m. today to determine whether Friday's preseason opener vs. Titans will sell out before the 72 hr blackout deadline
— Rick Stroud (@NFLSTROUD) August 14, 2012
Stroud also reports that the Bucs elected to take the league option of lowering per-game ticket sales to 85 percent capacity for blackout considerations. With the game against Tennessee still four days off, there's a chance the Bucs could sell the allotment necessary, but they'd probably have to do so before Friday morning to avoid the blackout, as the decision must be made in advance of the day of broadcast.
