According to the Miami Sun-Sentinel, Wake was not at fault, and his car struck a vehicle making a left turn without yielding right-of-way:
Wake was traveling northbound on South Nob Hill Road while the driver of the Lexus, Wallace Waldman, 70, of Plantation was heading in the opposite direction. Waldman was cited for violating Wake's right-of-way, said agency spokesman Detective Robert Rettig.
Wake was a 14-game starter for the Dolphins defense in 2011, and has appeared in 46 games for Miami going back to 2009. He finished with 42 tackles and 8.5 sacks last season. Wake is in his fourth year with the Dolphins, arriving from the CFL after a quick stint with the New York Giants in 2005.
