Magic Coach Jacque Vaughn Wants Players Who Want To Play For Orlando

New Orlando Magic coach Jacque Vaughn has more than a few issues to deal with when getting his team ready for the 2012-13 NBA season. But, theoretically, he won't have to slog through a season with his best player looking for a new home, now that Dwight Howard is gone to Los Angeles, and that's good for Vaughn, who told WGYM in Orlando that he's looking for players who want to play for the Magic.

Vaughn was asked why it was important to have players who want to be in Orlando, and gave this answer:

"I think you thrive in situations you want to be in. You commit yourself to the organization and to that element. You totally selfishly give yourself for the benefit of the organization for the benefit of the team, so if you don’t have that initial commitment it makes it an uphill battle going forward."

A Magic team based on commitment may take Magic fans back not just to pre-Howard days, but to the beloved "Heart and Hustle" squad that just missed the 2000 NBA playoffs while playing without a star in the run-up to the free agency period that netted Orlando Tracy McGrady and Grant Hill.
