Dolphins Depth Chart: Miami Correct In Handling Of Ryan Tannehill

Ryan Tannehill was the eighth overall pick by the Miami Dolphins in the 2012 NFL Draft and with such a lofty draft position, it's only right that Joe Philbin has put him on the fast track to take the opening snaps under center when Miami kicks off the regular season according to Greg Stoda of The Palm Beach Post:

There has been the creation of a perfect storm for Tannehill - the Garrard injury, no hero quarterback on the roster, the presence of Sherman - and it wouldn't be illogical for him to get the starting assignment in the season opener at Houston next month.

The Dolphins have more reasons to go with Tannehill than not to, quite frankly, which should be inducement enough for them to step boldly into a future they want in his hands.

Tannehill looked solid in his first major minutes of the preseason as he threw for 100 yards although that total came with no touchdowns.
