Cameron Wake Injury: Dolphins DE Returns To Practice

Miami Dolphins defensive end Cameron Wake is finally back and practicing after being in an auto accident last Monday.

Wake's car was totaled when a driver made an illegal turn at a busy Plantation intersection, plowing into Wake's car. Wake had no visible injuries as a result of the accident but hasn't practiced since Tuesday.

Both Wake and the driver of the other car were wearing seatbelts and the police noted that alcohol was not a factor in the accident.

The Dolphins defense has been stretched pretty thin as of late so it is good news that Wake is able to partake in full practice today. The four-year veteran is a key cog of the Dolphins defense and signed a four-year extension with the team in May.

Last year, Wake had 42 tackles and 8.5 sacks in 16 games.
