Jaguars Depth Chart: Chad Henne To Remain No. 2 QB

Former Dolphins quarterback Chad Henne will remain the Jacksonville Jaguars' No. 2 quarterback, head coach Mike Mularkey said Sunday. The former Michigan standout signed with the Jags this offseason to back up Blaine Gabbert, and, despite subpar performances in the preseason so far, he hasn't relinquished that spot on the depth to Jordan Palmer, who has played well with the third team.

Here's what Mularkey said about Henne's job so far this preseason, one in which he's gone 8-18 for 64 yards and an interception, according to Jaguars.com writer John Oehser.

"You have to realize that Chad has been playing with the second group a high percentage of the practices, and a high percentage of the preseason games," Mularkey said. "I wish we had the same level of talent on the first and second, but that's just not the way it is. That has something do with it."

Despite Palmer's effectiveness, he still might not be a sure thing for a roster spot. Mularkey has reportedly not decided whether to keep two or three quarterbacks on the roster.
