Jaguars Roster Cuts: DuJuan Harris Released

DuJuan Harris was apparently the first to report his own release, if his ominous tweet from early Saturday morning is any indication. Indeed, the running back was cut from the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday.

As Alfie Crow at Big Cat Country writes, Harris didn't see a lot of time on the field this preseason, even with the top of the depth chart, Maurice Jones-Drew, holding out. Backup running backs Montell Owens, Keith Toston and Jalen Parmele climbed their way up the depth chart. Rashad Jennings continues to hold down the fort while MJD sits out.

Harris was a standout in the 2011 preseason and made the practice squad, eventually being activated for five games last season. He carried the ball 9 times for 45 yards. He only had 3 carries for 13 yards during the 2012 preseason.
