The Marlins have take a 3-1 lead over the Dodgers in the final game of their three-game series in Los Angeles. The Dodgers got it going early with an RBI single by Adrian Gonzalez, which scored Nick Punto to give them a 1-0 advantage.

Then Giancarlo Stanton hit a solo home run in the fourth inning to tie the score. Rob Brantly followed that up in the fifth inning with a two-run shot, to give the Marlins their 3-1 lead. Aside from giving up that single run in the first inning, Mark Buehrle had pitched well. Ramirez popped up to shortstop Jose Reyes and Andre Ethier grounded out to end the inning, as Buehrle avoided the jam.
