NFL Cuts: Jaguars Get To 75 Using IR, PUP List

Teams must cut their rosters down to 75 players by 4:00 p.m. ET on Monday, and the Jacksonville Jaguars took care of that by placing four players on injured reserve, placing two players on the physically unable to perform list and waiving another.

The franchise announced the moves with a press release on Monday morning:

Four players were placed on injured reserve in center John Estes (knee), guard Drew Nowak (foot), guard/center Jason Spitz (ankle) and tight end Matt Veldman (knee). Fullback Brock Bolen (knee) was waived/injured and will revert to injured reserve if he clears waivers.

In addition, defensive end John Chick (knee) and linebacker Clint Session (concussion) were moved from the active physically unable to perform (PUP) list to the reserve PUP list and don't count against the 75 active players.

The Jaguars have one more preseason game to play before determining their final 53-man roster. Following their game against the Falcons on Thursday, they will have until 9:00 p.m. ET on Friday to get down to 53 players.
