FSU Goalkeeper Kelsey Wys Wins ACC Player Of The Week

Florida State Seminoles goalkeeper Kelsey Wys was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week after the then third-ranked Seminoles shut out ninth-ranked UCF 1-0 on Aug. 24.

The redshirt junior had four saves on the night and made two big saves in the waning moments as the Knights desperately looked for an equalizer in the final minutes.

After her shutout against UCF, Wys now has 21 career shutouts, just half a game from the all-time recrod. With over a year and a half left in her career, Wys should easily break the record and put plenty of space between herself and second place.

The now top-ranked Florida State Seminoles have two matches this week, taking on rivals Florida on Aug. 31 and then the College of Charleston on Sept 2. Both are home games for the Seminoles.
