Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher David Price was set to fly to Toronto as the team takes on the Blue Jays for a three-game series this weekend. But as Mark Tomkin of the Tampa Bay Times reported, the lefthander forgot one thing: his passport.
↵So as he went to his Dallas-Fort Worth Airport hotel for the night before making the flight back to Tampa, Price had the brilliant idea of asking one of his friends to bring his passport to The Metroplex before they both flew up to Toronto.
↵Playing the role of hero is Tim Herbert, who was already making the flight up to Toronto for a weekend getaway. Price convinced Herbert with a free plane ride over to Texas with Price's passport and they both arrived in Toronto Thursday afternoon.
↵The trip saved Price an entire day of flying, but not going home left Price with one problem. Price didn't have a change of clothes.
↵"I've worn the same clothes for two straight days.''
