U.S. Open Tennis Results 2012: Roger Federer, Serena Williams Roll & Mardy Fish Rallies

Roger Federer won his second round matchup with ease, defeating Bjorn Phau of Germany in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3, 6-2. Federer was mostly dominate, serving up 15 aces to Phau's two.

Federer won 79 percent of his first serves and 63 percent of his second serves, while Phau won 65 percent of his first serves and 41 percent of his second serves. And even though Federer wasn't his best at the net, he still managed to have 32 points won there, compared to Phau's eight, ending up with 44 winners to Phau's 16.

Federer wasn't the only big name that was dominate on Thursday night, as Serena Williams did away with Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez in straight sets earlier in the day.

Of course, there was Mardy Fish coming back from two sets down to advance to the third round.
