The Jacksonville Jaguars have placed offensive guard Will Rackley on injured reserve according to a Big Cat Country report. Rackley has been dealing with an ankle injury which prompted the move although he had returned to practice prior to Jacksonville's final preseason game.
The Jaguars placing him on the IR will make the second year player unavailable this season:
Rackley is not eligible to come off of the IR list mid-season, despite the new IR rules for the 2012 season because he did not make it to the 53-man roster. In order to be eligible, he would have had to be on the 53-man roster and be placed on IR after Sept. 4, per the new rule.
