The second round of the 2012 Deutsche Bank Championship continues on Saturday afternoon and Rory McIlroy is atop the leaderboard and in sole possession of first place.
McIlroy is looking to continue a strong season that includes a first place finish at the PGA Championship two weeks ago. McIlroy started off the day on fire, as he tallied four birdies and an eagle in the first ten holes.
After bogeying consecutive holes, he rebounded and made his fifth and sixth birdies of the day to move back to 6-under. McIlroy now sits alone atop the leaderboard at 12-under for the tournament. He is through 16 holes in the second round.
Ryan Moore, the leader through 10 holes today at 11-under, sits in second place at 10-under and has finished his round for the day.
Seung-yul Noh is in third place at 9-under after a double-bogey on the 17th hole. He finished his round at even par for the day.
Bryce Molder, 3-under on the afternoon, is tied with Noh at 9-under.
Tiger Woods currently sits five strokes back of McIlroy's lead at 7-under. Woods' scheduled tee off was 1:10 p.m.
