The Miami Marlins have announced their schedule for the 2013 season. Opening day for the Marlins will be on April 1 as they play the Washington Nationals in D.C. Their home opener will be a week after the opening game when they play the Atlanta Braves, kicking off a nine-game homestand.

Interleague play for the Marlins will begin on April 22 when they travel to Target Field to play the Minnesota Twins. The second interleague series will be on May 24, when manager Ozzie Guillen makes his return to U.S. Cellular Field against the Chicago White Sox.

The Marlins will have a home-and-home series against the Tampa Bay Rays starting May 27, the first two games being played at Tropicana Field and the other two played at Marlins Park.
