The Florida A&M Rattlers face the Hampton Pirates in Week 3 of the 2012 college football season, with both teams looking for their first win. Florida A&M lost a close game to open the season, 17-14 to Tennessee State, and were blown out in Week 2 by the Oklahoma Sooners, 69-13.
If the Rattlers want to get into the win column they'll need a stronger effort from quarterback Damien Flemming. Through the first two weeks the sophomore has posted a completion rate just a hair above 50 percent and has as many interceptions as he does passing touchdowns, though that's only two of each.
The defense didn't have much of a prayer against the Sooners, but they should fair better against Hampton. The Pirates scored just seven points in their Week 2 loss, thanks in part to quarterback Travis Champion throwing two interceptions.
