FAU Vs. Georgia 2012: Owls Fall To Bulldogs 56-20

Many people didn't give the Florida Atlantic Owls much of a chance against the Georgia Bulldogs. The Owls gave Georgia an interesting first half, but ended up losing, 56-20, after a huge Bulldog second half.

Georgia appeared to miss star linebacker Jarvis Jones early in the game. The Owls were able to rack up over 200 yards of offense in the first half, and were within shouting distance of their heavily favored opponents. However, 28 straight Georgia points in the second half put the game out of reach for Carl Pelini's side.

Graham Wilbert looked good at times, going 18-of-33 for 188 yards, one touchdown and one interception, but eventually was shown to be out of his depth. Damian Fortner contributed 81 yards on the ground and a touchdown.

Next week, the Owls' task only gets tougher, as they have to travel to Tuscaloosa to face Alabama next Saturday, while Georgia hosts Vanderbilt.
