Through two games this season, rookie wide receiver Justin Blackmon has only three catches for 24 yards. At Monday's press conference, head coach Mike Mularkey gave Blackmon a message to not get discouraged with this slow start:
Don't get frustrated. Take each game as a learning experience like you hope everybody does, including coaches. The balls will come, they will.
Mularkey said he thinks that part of the reason for Blackmon's slow start is because of the difference in speed between the preseason and the regular season:
Whether it's starters on starters in the preseason, it's still different when you get to the regular season because now everything is counting. It's really important.
The Jaguars play the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m., and the game will be broadcast on CBS.
