Jaguars HC Mike Mularkey: 'We Are Staying The Course'

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey isn't ready to press the panic button. After losing 27-7 against the Houston Texans, a game in which the Jags failed to covert on any third-down play, Mularkey said at his press conference he and his Jaguars are going to "stay the course."

Mularkey was asked if his message – and by extension, game plan – would change this week, in response to players saying they need to play more uptempo, and said:

We are staying the course. We have a process that we are in the middle of. We are not changing. We have seen it. It is on tape. It's proof that we are capable of doing some things with the guys that we have right now. They know that, they know how we feel about it. I'm glad I'm hearing what you're saying. It sounds like they are going to hold themselves accountable. We all are, that we all do better. We all have to play better, we all have to execute better. Coaches and players.

The Jaguars had just 117 yards of total offense against the Texans, and will surely need to improve on that in Week 3, as they take on the Indianapolis Colts.
