Bucs Will Need Better Play From Aqib Talib

Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Aqib Talib had a poor outing against the New York Giants last week, when he was burned by wide receiver Hakeem Nicks. Nicks caught 10 passes for 199 yards, and the majority of those were against Talib, including his 23-yard touchdown reception.

Over at SB Nations Bucs blog, Bucs Nation they put together some GIFs of Talib's poor performance on Saturday. First up is Talib getting beat off the line on Nicks's touchdown:

Here is another where Talib was beat off the line by Hicks:

Talib had some good plays, like this one where he knocked a ball down in the end zone:

One other reason why Talib played poorly was the defensive attack the team used against the Giants. First off they used a single-high safety, which means that safety plays so deep that they would rarely ever be able to help Talib with Nicks. Looking at the performance from Talib against Nicks, it looks like Talib needs to improve his coverage off the line so that he does not get beat.
