JU Vs. Dayton 2012: TV Schedule, Game Time, Spread And More

The Jacksonville University Dolphins take on the Dayton Flyers in a quickly developing rivalry. They may have to do so without starting quarterback Kade Bell, who sustained a head injury in Week 2.

Presswire

The Jacksonville University Dolphins will take on the Dayton Flyers in the latest matchup between two teams quickly developing a history. Both teams went 8-0 in the Pioneer League in 2010 -- and since they did not play each other that year, the teams were declared co-champions. The 2011 game possibly settled who the true champion was when Jacksonville won, 34-26. That surely didn't sit well with the Flyers, who host the Dolphins on Saturday.

Jacksonville enters the game with a bit of momentum, having won two straight after an ugly loss in their season-opener against Georgia Southern. Jacksonville's offense scored 31 and 33 points in their last two games, but they enter Saturday's match with big questions at quarterback. Starting freshman Kade Bell took a hard hit in their Week 2 game against Webber International, and his status for Saturday is unknown. If he can't play, sophomore Trevius Folston will back him up.

The Flyers are 1-2 but are also coming off a win, a 20-14 victory over the Robert Morris Colonials.
