Miami Vs. Georgia Tech Score Update: Hurricanes Lead Yellow Jackets, 19-0

At the end of the first quarter, the Miami Hurricanes are in front of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, 19-0.

Miami opened the scoring less than 30 seconds into the game when Stephen Morris connected with Phillip Dorsett for a 65-yard touchdown pass.

Georgia Tech took the ball to midfield on the next drive before ultimately turning the ball over on downs. At that point, things began to slow down, and the teams exchanged punts before the Jake Wieclaw hit a 38-yard field goal. On the ensuing kickoff, however, Orwin Smith put his hand near the 1-yard line while kneeling in the end zone, which is a safety.

That sounds weird, so here's a gif of the safety from @bubbaprog. On the next drive, Miami took the ball right down the field, and Mike James scored on a 1-yard run as the quarter expired to make it 19-0.

Miami QB Stephen Morris is off to a nice start, going 9-13 for 149 yards and a touchdown. Duke Johnson has yet to really get going, and has 8 yards on only two carries. Georgia Tech has yet to attempt a pass, and has 39 yards rushing as a team. B.J. Bostic leads the way for the Yellow Jackets with 15 yards on two carries.
