College Football Rankings, Week 5: Alabama Stays At The Top, Florida State Stays At Four

Florida State's big win over Clemson wasn't enough to get them to rise in the new USA Today Coaches Poll.

The Alabama Crimson Tide kept a stranglehold on their number one ranking this week in the USA Today Coaches Poll, after easily dispatching Florida Atlantic 40-7. The Oregon Ducks jumped up to number two after beating Arizona 49-0, and LSU had to squeak by Auburn 12-10.

Florida State remained at number four, despite an impressive 49-37 win over then-10th ranked Clemson. Florida climbed two spots to number 12 after beating Kentucky 38-0.
