Hunter Kemper Shoots For Fifth Trip To Olympics

It's safe to say that most athletes would be satisfied qualifying for four consecutive Olympic Games, but don't count Hunter Kemper among those athletes.

Kemper, who competes in the triathlon, is aiming to qualify for a fifth consecutive Olympic appearance in 2016, when the summer games are held in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.

"It would be a long shot, and to say it isn't wouldn't be right," Kemper said Sunday after winning the Sandpiper Bay Triathlon at Club Med on Sunday. "But for me the story would be the journey to get there; the process of competing in another Olympic Games and still trying to be the best in the country."

Kemper will turn 40 in 2016, which would make another appearance in the Olympics all that more remarkable. Though he's not earned a medal in any of his four previous appearances, Kemper has finished first among all American men in the event.

Here's hoping that Kemper can make this a reality at age 40 -- and that he brings home a medal.
