After three consecutive road losses, the Florida Atlantic Owls finally return home, as they play host to the North Texas Mean Green in a Sun Belt Conference showdown.
Little has gone right in 2012 for Florida Atlantic. The Owls opened up the season with a 7-3 win over Wagner, but then lost 31-17 to Middle Tennessee, in Florida Atlantic's Sun Belt Conference opener.
The Owls then embarked on a road tour of two top SEC schools, losing 56-20 at the hands of the Georgia Bulldogs and then losing 40-7 to the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Needless to say, the Owls will be quite thrilled to be playing against a fellow Sun Belt foe.
North Texas has had a similar season thus far. The Mean Green opened up the season with a 41-14 loss against LSU, before defeating Texas Southern, 34-7. North Texas then traveled to Kansas State, where they held their own, but eventually lost, 35-21 to the Wildcats. North Texas lost to Troy in their most recent contest, 14-7.
Senior quarterback Graham Wilbert will welcome the non-SEC opponent. Despite playing against two of the country's best defenses, Wilbert has a respectable stat line, completing 65.9% of his passes, while throwing for 603 yards, five touchdowns and just one interception.
Wilbert will look to add to those numbers on Saturday, as the Owls look for their first Sun Belt win in 2012. The Owls currently enter the game as 6.5 point underdogs.
Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET Saturday. Streaming coverage of the game can be found on ESPN3.com.
