Rays vs. White Sox game time, TV schedule and more

Tampa is fighting for its life in the Wild Card race, while the Sox are just a game off the Tigers in the AL Central.

Kim Klement-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

If the Tampa Bay Rays are to make the postseason in 2012, every single game is now a must-win. Tampa has a slim, slim chance of taking a Wild Card berth in the AL despite sitting behind New York and Baltimore in the AL East.

The Rays trail Oakland for the final spot by three games, and would also have to overcome the Los Angeles Angels, who are only two back of the A's. Meanwhile, the Chicago White Sox are in a battle of their own as they trail the Detroit Tigers by just one game in the AL Central. While the Sox are just a game off their division lead, there's no safety net –the White Sox are six games out in the Wild Card, virtually giving them no chance if they don't overcome the Tigers.
